Extraordinary talents and versatility

I have personally known Miranda Fair, well known Sydney drag queen and entertainer, for approximately ten years.
I first met Miranda when she was hosting an open mic at the Uniting Church Balmain. Her extraordinary talent was immediately evident! Not only was she an excellent hostess, clearly engaging with the audience with clever and witty repartee, but also an outstanding singer, mainly within the jazz/Latin genres. I remember laughing a lot with her razor sharp and quick one-liners.
A few years later I asked Miranda to host my 60th birthday party at El Rocco (Bar Me), Kings Cross. The night was a roaring success, thanks to Miranda’s brilliant and professional co-ordination of my event.
In May 2023 Miranda and I organised her one-woman show Old Queen Cole at the Potts Point Hotel on a Sunday evening. The show was an absolute success and very well patronised. Miranda once again demonstrated her extraordinary talents and versatility, singing many songs and entertaining her audience. I was proudly the Musical Director, supported by an extremely competent band.
In December 2025, I engaged Miranda to host my 66th birthday party at the Freeway Hotel, Artarmon. Once again, Miranda did an exemplary job co-ordinating the evening, keeping everything running to time, scheduling all the guest singers and leading with her own performances.
I have no hesitation in recommending Miranda to host any event where entertainment is paramount! She has a magnificent ability to connect and engage with her audiences. She is extremely witty and funny and a most talented singer!

Miranda Fair is an extraordinary performer, educator and human being whose visits to our school have become one of the greatest highlights of teaching Society and Culture to my senior students. We study ‘conformity and nonconformity’ through the lens of drag culture, and after first falling in love with Miranda as a trivia host, I thought: what better way to bring the course to life than by inviting her into our classroom?
Miranda has now generously visited us multiple times, driving all the way to our school, dressed to impress and willing to divulge her remarkable knowledge of drag at both a local and global level. She is incredibly eloquent and articulate, answering every student question with honesty and insight while bringing so much humour, warmth and kindness to every conversation.
Miranda communicates with our diverse student body in an empathetic and genuine way, creating space for our students to be curious and engage with perspectives they could never gain from a textbook. She is wonderfully easy to collaborate and plan with, exceptionally generous with her time, and even treated us to a performance showcasing her incredible vocals, bringing all her own equipment to give our students the full experience.
It has been absolutely incredible to watch a classroom of teenage girls and boys alike light up as a towering drag queen enters in heels, sequins and a feather boa. Beyond the excitement, Miranda has provided our students with a rare and meaningful opportunity to engage organically with the diverse identities and lived experiences that shape contemporary society. Our students absolutely adore her, and so do I. Her visits leave a lasting impression, and I could not recommend her more highly.

Her humour is always inclusive, thoughtful, and perfectly timed, helping to create an atmosphere where people feel relaxed, engaged, able to be themselves and genuinely welcome.
Adding to her vibrant stage presence are her fabulous outfits, which always complement the occasion and bring an extra touch of colour, personality, and fun. Miranda understands that being an MC is about more than simply making announcements, it is about creating an experience, and she does so effortlessly.
Above all, Miranda has an incredible ability to make guests feel seen, valued, and included while maintaining the professionalism required to keep an event running smoothly. She is reliable, adaptable, engaging, and an absolute pleasure to work with. It is rare to find an MC who doesn’t simply present an event, but who truly leads it with confidence, professionalism, warmth and authenticity. With Miranda, you absolutely have that.

Miranda was truly exceptional as the host of Ms India Subcontinent 2026, our inaugural pageant at Holiday Inn, Parramatta.

Miranda Fair was an incredible asset to Stars in Disguise, a talent competition over several weekly heats at the Unity Hall Hotel in Balmain in 2025.
As one of our judges, she brought warmth, wit, professionalism, and a unique energy that elevated every show. Contestants adored her, audiences loved her, and her quick humour and fabulous stage presence added a special flair that only a truly talented drag performer can bring. … To a total cabaret experience
With the excitement of live jazz/pop musicians
Having Miranda and the band play at our wedding made it such a fun, wonderful event. The songs were brilliantly performed and loved by everyone who attended. Not only was Miranda’s voice incredible in them, but her razor sharp jokes had the guests cracking up in between. Miranda and the band were such an asset to our reception and we’re so glad they were a part of it. 10/10 recommend!
